Meet the Technician Behind the Work
I’m Robert, the technician behind Grit and Grease Auto Repair. I’ve spent years working hands-on with vehicles, gaining a deep understanding of what keeps cars running reliably. Over time, I’ve done everything from changing a battery to rebuilding an engine—and just about everything in between.
Years ago, I attended trade school for transmission rebuilding, and today I continue investing in my education by staying up to date with the latest automotive technology. I’ve also worked as a software engineer, building enterprise software from the ground up. That experience gives me a unique perspective when it comes to modern vehicles, especially on the computerized and diagnostic side.
I’m not the type to simply pull codes and guess at the part. I take the time to properly test and diagnose the issue so the repair is done right the first time.
I’ve always had a genuine passion for working on cars. There’s something rewarding about diagnosing a tough issue, turning the wrench, and knowing I’ve helped someone get back on the road safely. My dad always said that if you do something you love, you won’t work a day of your life—and that mindset is exactly what led me to start this business.
